AtomFilms Presents a Carbon Neutral Short Film
AtomFilms, an online video service featuring the work of independent filmmakers and animators, boasts the first carbon-neutral comedy series.
"Possum Death Spree" is a short film about a global warming scientist with a theory: permafrost thaw is awakening dormant possums that killed the dinosaurs. Only no one believes him until the possums begin attacking humans.
While Possum Death Spree is more campy horror than straight up comedy, the short is amusing and throws a twist in the standard climate change scenarios. (I will throw in a "might not be suitable for children" caution.)
Since the short film's topic surrounds climate change, the producers purchased renewable energy credits from 3phases to offset the production's energy usage.
AtomFilms has also partnered with BigPicture.TV, to promote short video clips of climate change leaders and other experts in the field.
